Position: Accountant

Qualified Accountant wanted for Global Insurance Group-Dublin City Abrivia Recruitment has an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced Accountant to join a leading Global Insurance Group based in Dublin City Centre. This role is critical within the Financial Reporting team and will report directly to the Head of Reporting & Accounting.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports to both internal and external stakeholders, while also playing a key role in maintaining and enhancing financial processes.
This is a hybrid role, allowing for a flexible working arrangement, with an expectation of spending at least 40% of the week in the office. Your Role: Oversee the completion of month-end procedures, including the preparation of journal entries and detailed financial analysis.Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Assist in compiling and finalising the monthly Management Accounts Pack, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.Support the preparation and submission of comprehensive Group reporting packs.Address and resolve queries from Group headquarters, collaborating closely with Senior Accountants.Ensure robust financial controls are established and maintained across all processes.Evaluate and document existing financial processes, proactively suggesting and implementing improvements.Contribute to the preparation of statutory accounts and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.Collaborate with the Finance team to facilitate a seamless and efficient annual audit process.Engage in various ad-hoc projects as directed by Finance Management, providing financial insights and support as needed.Your Skills: Professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical knowledge.A minimum of 1 years' post-qualification experience, ideally gained in a large professional services firm or a multinational corporate environment.Exceptional analytical capabilities with an acute attention to detail.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.Proven track record of managing deadlines and delivering high-quality work under pressure.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.Competence in liaising effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.If this role aligns with your skills and career aspirations, please apply above or for a confidential discussion about this opportunity, please contact Tadhg at 01 9052560.
