This role is ideal for a skilled Accountant with experience in life insurance or reinsurance, and those with variable annuity experience will find this role particularly rewarding.Your Role: Lead the financial reporting process for the Cayman and Bermuda entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both local and international standards.Oversee the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings.Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with actuarial, underwriting, and investment teams to align financial plans with business strategy.Perform detailed financial analysis on reinsurance transactions, including Variable Annuity portfolios.Support risk management efforts by providing timely and accurate financial data to senior management.Participate in the financial due diligence process for new transactions and acquisitions.Engage with external auditors and regulators, ensuring all financial controls and reporting requirements are met.
Your Skills: Qualified Accountant2+ years of experience in life insurance or reinsurance, with experience in Variable Annuities being a strong advantage.Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis within the reinsurance or life insurance sector.Strong understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP standards.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
