Position Description: The successful candidate will report to SEI Ireland's General Counsel and be part of SEI Ireland's Legal team.
Key responsibilities will include advising SEI's Irish entities on corporate governance and regulatory matters, supporting the SEI Ireland Compliance team with regulatory projects and assisting with contractual arrangements between SEI's Irish entities and either clients or SEI Group companies.
The candidate will also be required to collaborate with SEI's Global Legal and Compliance Department, external counsel, and members of other functions within the SEI Group e.g.
privacy, risk, and internal audit.
What you will do: Advise and manage corporate governance practices for SEI's Management Company/AIFM and SEI's proprietary Irish funds, including providing guidance to the Company Secretary.Advise SEI Ireland's entities on ongoing queries in relation to existing legislation, regulation and regulatory guidance and on effective and timely implementation of new legislation and regulations.Draft and review various service agreements (including fund administration services, vendor agreements and inter-company agreements) and support the relevant business unit with the legal documentation relating to new fund launches.Assist with drafting, implementation and maintenance of legal templates and local policies and procedures.Assist with legal review of legal/regulatory and compliance specific training programmes.Provide assistance and support to the business in relation to ad hoc legal and regulatory queries.Liaise with internal stakeholders and external legal advisers.Contribute to global legal and compliance projects and initiatives.What you will bring to the table: Qualified solicitor with 2 to 5 years' post qualification experience.Corporate Law firm trained, with a minimum of 2 years' experience working as a funds or financial services regulatory solicitor in Ireland in a law firm or another in-house legal department.Experience with the laws and regulations in Ireland impacting Fund Management Companies, Administrators and Depositaries, including Company law, Central Bank regulations and UCITS/AIFMD Directives.Experience with drafting and review of service contracts, ideally service provider agreements for EU investment funds.Attributes We Value: Good technical ability with strong attention to detail.Strong oral and written communication skills and a good listener.Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and manage time to maximise efficiency and to meet strict deadlines.Individual who takes initiative and ownership of assigned responsibilities.Be a reliable transmitter of information, i.e.
