Currently an experienced Quality Engineer to manage and lead our Quality team, providing technical and compliance expertise in a manufacturing environment.
In this role, you will ensure system and product quality objectives are met and collaborate closely with management to uphold high Quality standards.
Key responsibilities include providing technical QA support, overseeing corrective and preventive actions, leading quality investigations, and ensuring compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities: Manage and lead the Quality team to maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
Oversee the Returns department to ensure proper processes are followed and investigations are timely.
Lead customer complaint investigations and conduct root cause analysis to resolve issues.
Drive continuous improvements in product and process quality.
Make decisions that align with management's objectives to achieve zero-quality escapes.
Collaborate with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve project issues.
Track and analyse KPIs, identifying trends for improvement.
Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products for compliance with quality standards.
Identify and implement solutions to prevent defects from recurring.
Prepare detailed quality performance and compliance reports.
Ensure processes meet all relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct internal audits as scheduled and close out any non-conformances.
Work with Production, Engineering, and other departments to implement quality measures.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years in a senior Quality role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong proficiency in quality control systems, statistical analysis, and inspection procedures.
Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and attention to detail.
Lean Six Sigma qualification and Lead Auditor certification preferred.
Knowledge of ISO standards, particularly ISO 9001:9015, ISO 17025, ISO 14001, and ATEX.
Experience in leading audits by notified bodies.
Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritise tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well independently and collaboratively within a team.
