Position Title: Quality Technician (Systems) Reports To: Quality Manager Location: Fermoy, Cork Job Type: Full-Time   Company Background: ABEC has been a leading supplier to the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry for over 50 years.

ABEC's products include process and equipment engineering/consulting services, comprehensive site services, bioreactors and fermenters, filtration and chromatography systems, prep and hold systems, and cleaning/sterilisation systems.
Position Summary: The Quality Systems Technician assists the Quality team with implementation of company-wide operations procedures and process to support the overall Quality Assurance plan.
This role support Quality improvement throughout the shop floor and within the team concept.
Participate as cross-functional team member within assigned goal-oriented team responsibility.
  Responsibilities: O Inspection of incoming materials & components, ABEC manufactured items, and assembled systems in order to ensure conformance to established quality standards and all related quality documentation requirements.
O Conduct in-process inspections and prepare reporting documents as required during manufacturing.
O Conduct "Walk Downs" of systems using the Job Data file to ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
O Involvement as requested during Pre-FAT activities O Final Inspection of Vessel & Systems for approval of packaging/crating of equipment.
O Conduct various administrative functions as required in support of Quality Department activities.
O Assist in controlling & maintaining test equipment and calibration of test equipment within ABEC.
O Filing of project-related and Quality Department documentation.
O Assist in the auditing of project Turnover Packages (TOPs).
O Interaction with customers and vendors as needed.
O Inspection of incoming materials & components, ABEC manufactured items, and assembled systems in order to ensure conformance to established quality standards and all related quality documentation requirements.
O Physical inspection of manufactured parts to verify conformance to design drawings and related specifications (material, dimensional, surface finish, etc).
O Ensure accurate and complete receipt of all required quality-related documentation.
O Travel to other ABEC facilities, vendor locations or customer sites as required to support Quality Department activities.
Shift work flexibility.
O Will play an active role in identifying and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunity.
O Follow all safety rules and policies.
O Execute other tasks as assigned.
   Qualifications: O Leaving Certificate minimum, level 6/7 degree in a technical field preferred.
O 3 years post graduate work in a related field or function.
O Certified Quality Inspector, (CQI) / Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred but not mandatory.
