ILIM has a new permanent role for an enthusiastic candidate to work as a Quantitative Investment Analyst within the Multi-Asset Strategies Team. The team is responsible for the design and implementation of a wide range of equity, derivatives, and alternatives strategies that are key components in ILIM Multi-asset portfolio solutions. This role is focused on the research, design, and implementation of global equity solutions driven by quantitative/systematic processes. The successful candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for the development, and continuous improvement, of the firm's existing quantitative strategies, which are core building blocks of our multi-asset portfolios and account for over €20bln of assets (end 24Q2). The candidate will also play a key role in the development of new strategies.
Team BackgroundThe team uses its best-in-class quantitative capability to work with clients in the development of custom equity solutions that account for their specific investment objectives and restrictions. As ILIM is committed to delivering long-term sustainable returns for our clients, the use of responsible investing techniques features prominently. This role is open to recent graduates, looking to begin their career in investment management, and to those who have relevant experience.
What you will help us to achieveResearching, developing and enhancing existing investment strategies and models that drive our equity solutions.An emphasis on integrating quantitative fund management with sustainable investment techniques.Analysis and commentary on fund performance.Developing and maintaining systems to support ongoing research.Trialling and onboarding new datasets and technologies.Interacting with client and sales teams to support business development opportunities.Collating and presenting research findings.More specific responsibilities will includeAbility to work both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment.Inquisitive with a strong attention to detail.Ambitious and hardworking with a drive for achieving results.A good problem solver, who can demonstrate their thinking process.A good communicator and demonstrable presentation skills.What you will need to be successful in the role2+ years of relevant investment experience, and/or a strong academic record (3rd level and/or post-graduate) in a technical discipline such as quantitative finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering. Experience of programming with MATLAB, Python, R or similar. A keen interest in financial data and applicable techniques. An interest in finance, the investment industry and associated research e.g. SSRN. Desire to undertake (or currently undertaking) the CFA or a similar professional qualification (this will be supported in line with the company's educational support policy).
