Quantity Surveyor – Data Centres – Dublin Our client is a €2bn turnover, Tier:1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe.
They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre projects division, our client is now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
Responsibilities: * Cost Estimation and Budget Management Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for the data centre project, ensuring all quantities are accurately measured and accounted for across all project phases.
* Procurement Support Assist in the procurement process, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and supporting contract negotiations to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
* Contract Administration Monitor and manage contracts, ensuring all cost-related issues are addressed, including variations, claims, and disputes, while maintaining adherence to project budgets and timelines.
* Cost Control and Reporting Track and report on project costs regularly, providing accurate and timely cost forecasts, and highlighting potential financial risks or deviations from the budget.
* Measurement and Valuation Conduct regular site visits to measure work completed, valuate progress, and prepare payment applications for subcontractors and suppliers in line with the contract terms.
* Risk and Value Management Identify and manage potential cost risks throughout the project, proposing cost-saving initiatives and value engineering solutions to improve project efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenditures.
Requirements * Academically (Degree) qualified and or relevant experience in the industry.
* 3-4 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role * A wide understanding of work contracts * A working knowledge of Mechanical/Electrical Work Packages Benefits Up to €75,000 per annum Healthcare Pension
