Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor Our client is an established construction firm, based in Dublin 1. They have a variety of ongoing projects in residential, commercial, educational, healthcare and industrial with clients ranging from government,corporate and private.

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the measurement, valuation, and cost control of construction projects. They work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in construction management or a related field, as well as experience working on construction projects. They should be proficient in using construction estimating software and have a strong understanding of building codes and regulations.

The responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor include:

Preparing and submitting cost estimates for construction projects Monitoring the progress of construction projects and ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget Negotiating with contractors and suppliers to get the best possible prices Managing the budget for construction projects Preparing and submitting progress reports to clients Resolving any cost overruns or delays The Quantity Surveyor must be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
