Job DescriptionOur client provides a range of mechanical and electrical engineering services that include, heating, water services, gas, ventilation and waste service installations and maintenance.Due to an increase in works, they are seeking to appoint a mechanical quantity surveyor to join the commerical team based in DublinPrepare cost estimate for all project phases, preparing tender documents, contracts, drawings, BoQ, specifications, budgets and maintain accurate recordsPerforms material take offs prior to the purchase requisitions for the projects and reports any irregularities or discrepancies to the project managementPerform and implement post contract duties including measurements, final accounts & evaluation reports.
Preparation of payment application and agreeing with ClientWork very close with the project team to ensure that measurements, variations and contractual matters are properly recorded and notifiedManage, examine, control and evaluate subcontractor works, evaluate claims, variations, invoices and ensure the contractual obligations are satisfiedEvaluate quotations obtained from suppliers & subcontractors, ensuring quantities and specifications are in line with tender and projects specifications.
Prepare and update material status and procurement scheduleEvaluate quotations and ensure quantities and specifications are in line with tender and project specificationsProvide necessary detailed backup to support commercial tracking and costingConduct meetings with the Client, site managers, project managers and site engineersIdentify and track changes to the design and project work and adjust the budget accordinglyRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering1-3+years of Quantity surveying / Mechanical Engineering experienceTechnical and practical knowledge of all phases of contract development, award, administration and close-out relating to a multi-discipline civil/ construction projectCapability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely mannerExcellent teamwork and interpersonal skillsGood communication skills and strong English capabilityPackage€40-65K dependant on relevant experience and qualificationsPermanent staff role with great career opportunities where you will be a valued team member.
