Job DescriptionOur client is a leading Irish building contractor working on a broad range of buildings projects in the healthcare, education, industry, construction and leisure industriesThey are seeking to appoint Quantity Surveyors at all levels of experience to work on projects in Dublin, Limerick & Galway.Candidates will be required to demonstrate capability and experience in dealing with challenging projects.
Advise and report regularly to Commercial ManagerAdvise on contractual matters – general and project levelIdentify contract grounds for claimCommercial and QS support & Advise on appointing project staff (commercial)Look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce costAssist project cash managementAdvise and support with project correspondenceNegotiate and agree subcontractorsEnsure final accounts are closed in a timely mannerIdentify and investigate lossesLook for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce costTimely drafting commercial/contractual correspondenceNegotiating subcontract and suppliers' prices and termsPrepare subcontract and suppliers documentsPrepare and review monthly cost reportsEnsure risk registers, variation trackers and extension of time tracker sheets are reviewed and updated monthly and included within monthly reportsNegotiating subcontractors and suppliers final accountsRequirementsProfessional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management2+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on construction projectsAbility to work on large scale, high headcount construction sites & sub-contractors experience .Liaise with Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager when dealing with internal stakeholders and client's representatives while on site including attendance at meetingsStrong time management skills.Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on siteAbility to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goalsMust have fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.Package€45K-€80K negotiable dependent on experience & qualificationsOptions in Dublin, Galway & LimerickFull time permanent staff role with great career prospects
