Job Title: Maintenance Fitter Location: Co. Waterford Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time Reporting To: Maintenance Manager Benefits: - 3% pension contribution from the company matched - Annual Leave: 21 days rising to 22 days after 5 years of service - Salary is negotiable, depending on experience - Day Shift: Monday-Friday with overtime Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to provide technical support and problem-solving expertise within the busy Maintenance/Engineering environment of a leading food producer.
Key Responsibilities Support maintenance strategies to achieve performance goals.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to meet schedules.
Inspect machines for compliance with standards.
Complete work orders, upload job details via handheld devices, and ensure paperwork is accurate.
Develop strong working knowledge of site mechanical equipment.
Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
Qualifications and Experience Time-served MAMF (Mechanical, Automation & Maintenance Fitter) qualification.
Experience with machines, process equipment, controls, automation, and refrigeration systems.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Good communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Flexibility for shift work, overtime, and on-call duties.
Full, clean driving license.
