Grade: Manager Contract type: Permanent A snapshot of your peer group: This role would suit a bachelors or masters graduate from a Computer science, Software Development or Software Engineering discipline, with a minimum of 5 years' experience, who has worked in a client facing environment, has strong writing and communication skills, who can utilise their technical knowledge to assist companies with the preparation of the scientific/technical aspects of R&D tax credit claims.Experience of supporting business development strategies, managing resources, with deep practical experience of consistently delivering and leading complex projects to a high quality, on time, and within budget.Excellent communication skills and ability to influence team members, clients and other stakeholders. This includes the ability to speak in front of an audience, excellent presentation skills with the ability to lead and manage group of technical and non-technical stakeholders (internal and external).Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to analyse the technical aspect of client operations and determine the best course of action for client delivery.Capable of being responsible for multiple projects at once. This means you will need to be comfortable multitasking and managing conflicting requirements.You will also be responsible for overseeing the work of other team members and need to have proven skills in managing and developing a high performing team.Ability to understand and meet the needs of clients requirements, requiring efficient project management skills.Reporting directly at Partner level.Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect: Lead technical client discussions to identify and assess qualifying R&D activities and demonstrate a deep understanding of the R&D tax credit legislative and regulatory requirements.Manage a team of technical consultants to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs in the R&D tax credit space and within budget.Take responsibility and accountability for our client deliverables, develop project plans and timelines which substantiates and supports the R&D tax credits claimed by our clients.Identify potential risks related to R&D claims and ideating solutions to mitigate them.Serve as the primary contact for client by developing and maintaining trusted relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with the R&D tax credit related services provided.Partake in business development activities, including proposal writing, presentations, and identifying opportunities for additional client-related services.Monitor progress on projects and provide regular updates to senior management within the business and with client stakeholders.Identify real opportunities for improvement in processes and procedures within the R&D Incentives Practice.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and senior staff members within the R&D Incentives Practice for their personal development.Analyse data and develop insights on delivery pipelines and internal processes to inform decision for the successful delivery of projects.Participate in industry events and conferences to stay abreast of trends and best practices in R&D, innovation funding and latest technology developments.Please note that this role does not involve undertaking software development activities nor does it involve providing project-specific technical directions to clients. The solutions we provide to clients is in the assessment of client's technology-specific projects against the R&D tax credit's legislative criteria, along with the preparation of reports that documents this technical work for regulatory assessment of the project's eligibility for innovation funding. Your team: Since 2004 our R&D incentives practice has been a market leader in this specialist area. We work with multinational and indigenous companies in the electronics, life sciences, ICT, manufacturing sectors and assist them to claim Research and development incentives (mainly the R&D tax credit) for their investment in R&D activities in Ireland.
Our team is comprised of people with a variety of backgrounds including science, engineering, computer science, tax and finance. We work together to use our multidisciplinary skills to achieve the best for our clients. This role will be responsible for managing members of the software engineering technical team.
