About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for an RDA Technician to join a team of passionate food experts developing new products for the Central Europe region Meat and Meat Alternatives market.
In this role you will be working as part of the Meat RD&A team based in Naas, supporting a team of 4 Technologists to develop products in line with customer expectations and deadlines.

Key responsibilitiesSupporting the wider team by preparing samples for internal assessment and dispatch to customers (with relevant supporting documentation) within agreed timelines;Supporting the Commercialisation process by ensuring Gold Standard recipe samples are made and dispatched to production sites in a timely manner, ensuring we meet our KPIs;Supporting and leading pilot plant trials, including the preparation of recipes, manufacture of samples, running of the trials and preparation of post-trial reports;Managing raw materials in the laboratory, including stock management, ordering of raw materials from external sites and maintenance of raw material traceability documentation;Participate in internal audit of the lab, lab deep cleaning events, regular lab checks;Assessment and validation of new raw materials, from existing and new suppliers enable cost optimization in recipes;Preparation of finished products for internal tastings/sensory assessments and dispatch to customers;Carrying out trials to assess the suitability of our Foundational Technologies and Taste Portfolio in Meat applications;Attending weekly team meetings, providing updates on workload and priorities to the wider team;Working within set ways of working, including documentation of laboratory work, pilot plant work and keeping up to date with project administration.Qualifications and skillsLeaving Certificate qualification.
Further qualification in food-related discipline is an advantage, but not essential;Laboratory experience an advantage, but not essential;Demonstrates an interest in Food (demonstrates creativity, practical skills & enjoyment of food);Full training will be provided;Teamwork is essential, the role requires excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to share learnings, manage timelines & feedback results;Work cross functionally and departments;You should be able to demonstrate skills at prioritising your work;Have a passion for food and the ability to confidently present information and food products to your team;Good organisational and PC skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel).Why work for us?At Kerry, we believe in creating an inclusive and flexible work environment that empowers our employees across Europe.
