Job Title: Data Governance Specialist (Contract) Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid) Contract Type: 6-12 months, with potential for extension Rate: €500 per day Job Description: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist for an exciting contract role in Dublin.
As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in driving and implementing data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement data governance frameworks and policies to ensure high-quality, accurate, and secure data across all departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, legal, compliance, and business units to ensure alignment on data management objectives.
- Lead data quality initiatives, including the identification, resolution, and prevention of data quality issues.
- Define and manage data stewardship processes to improve data handling across the organization.
- Create and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage.
Required Skills and Experience: - Proven experience as a Data Governance Specialist or similar role, with a strong focus on data quality and governance frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of data management principles, data modeling, and data quality practices.
- Hands-on experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to resolve complex data issues.
