We are hiring Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing for our Nursing home clients in different locations of Ireland.
Available Positions: DON & ADON DON Locations : Dublin, Cork, Wexford, Kilkenny ADON Locations : Dublin, Cork, Tipperary, Laois, Wicklow Job Specification: The Director of Nursing will undertake the role and responsibilities of the Person-in-Charge in line with the Health Act 2007, related regulations and the Health information and Quality Authority (HIQA) standards.
To ensure the development of a person-centred model of care which is driven by a respect for the rights of older people and are focused on quality of life measures meaningful to individual residents.
You will be expected to lead and manage a committed team to work to their potential.
Liaise with external organisations in order to promote and maintain good working relationships and high standards of care and service for residents You will ensure the development of policies, programmes and evidence-based practice consistent with standards (HIQA) and standard policies within the nursing home.
Responsible for all aspects of risk management and resident involvement Participate in the recruitment, development, training and supervision of staff in consultation with HR Administrator.
Effectively lead and manage clinical and care staff Requirements: Minimum of 3 years Director of Nursing/ADON experience within a nursing home environment essential Currently registered with An Bord Altranais Thorough knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations Post graduate diploma in gerontology and/ or a management qualification desirable Proven record and experience within a senior management role Excellent leadership, management and people skills Excellent Interpersonal & Communication Skills Capable of instilling the core principles of our ethos : Respect the Individual Promote a sense of belonging Care for the most vulnerable Value diversity Please contact for more details about the role and job description.
