Job Title: Director of Nursing (DON) Co. Kilkenny, Ireland About Us: RecruitNet International Ltd specializes in relocating qualified professionals across Ireland and overseas.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead a new, modern, purpose-built nursing home in County Kilkenny, Ireland.
Other locations: N. Dublin, S. Dublin, Wexford, Kilkenny Responsibilities Ensure the highest standards of clinical care through the development and monitoring of resident-specific care plans.
Conduct internal audits and oversee the implementation of resulting recommendations.
Manage the onboarding process for new employees and provide ongoing education and training for staff.
Ensure compliance with company policies, HIQA standards, and best practice guidelines.
Maintain administrative processes in the absence of the administrator.
Facilitate regular communication sessions with all clinical staff to foster collaboration and improve care delivery.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, encouraging community engagement within the home and enabling residents to participate in local events and activities.
Requirements Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a minimum of three years of recent experience (within the last six years) in elderly care.
Post-registration qualification in management within healthcare or a related discipline.
At least three years of managerial experience in the health or social care sector.
Active registration on the appropriate division of the NMBI live register.
Proven success in clinical and healthcare management roles.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong decision-making abilities with a results-oriented approach.
Solid financial acumen, including budget management experience.
Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and lead teams effectively, both independently and collaboratively.
