Group Project Accountant -Environmental, Social, and Governance About the Role: Red D are recruiting aGroup Project Accountant on behalf of a prestigious group of four-star Irish hotels.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled individual to contribute to impactful financial projects.
Job Summary: The position involves managing critical financial projects, with an initial focus on overseeing the implementation ofCSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) reporting across the hotel group.
The role also encompasses driving compliance forEnvironmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting.
Reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping financial and sustainability reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate on finance-related projects as identified by Head Office or Regional Heads of Finance.
Develop and lead internal ESG reporting processes to ensure compliance with ESG regulatory requirements, including CSRD.
Support the development of robust systems, processes, and tools for sustainability data collection and analysis.
Ensure the establishment of internal controls and a clear audit trail for ESG reporting.
Work with onsite hotel finance teams to review and enhance internal control processes, as identified by Regional Heads of Finance.
Implement new controls and processes aligned with group procedures and requirements.
Resolve challenges in newly designed processes and create user-friendly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for onsite hotel accounts teams.
Contribute to the digital transformation journey and drive process improvements.
Participate in other developmental and value-added projects as they arise.
Travel within Ireland will be required.
Qualifications and Skills: Qualified ACA accountant with a strong audit background.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and lead projects independently.
Highly motivated and enthusiastic about taking on evolving challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical accounting knowledge.
Advanced IT proficiency.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
