Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Service Manager to oversee and manage the operational performance of our services across various client sites. The ideal candidate will have a solid science or technical background, substantial client-facing experience, and a proven track record in managing teams and enhancing service delivery. This role will involve significant travel, engaging with both clients and on-site analysts to ensure exceptional service quality and to anticipate and address our clients' future needs.
Location:
Field based covering Eastern and South Eastern region of Ireland with 1-2 days per week in CLS HQ, Galway.
Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the performance of our analysts on client sites, ensuring adherence to quality standards, procedures, and timelines.Conduct monthly on-site visits at a minimum to assess and enhance service levels, address client concerns, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.Interface directly with clients to understand their evolving needs, cultivate relationships, and maintain high client satisfaction.Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies that improve service quality and efficiency.Generate comprehensive reports on site performance, key observations, and recommendations for management.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific or business field (Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Business, HR or related discipline).Minimum of 5 years' experience in a client-facing role within the scientific industry, preferably in a service or project management capacity.Proven ability to manage and lead remote teams, ensuring high performance and adherence to quality standards.Proficiency in analyzing data, generating reports, and presenting findings to both internal and external stakeholders.Willingness and ability to travel extensively (60-80% of the time).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Good time management and organizational skills.Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.Ability to foster and maintain trusted and collaborative working relationships with clients, direct team and wider remote teams.Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to keep all stakeholders informed.Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, ensuring flexibility to support stakeholder needs.Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.If you are an ambitious, results-driven individual with a passion for driving operational excellence and building strong client relationships in the scientific services industry, we encourage you to apply for the Regional Service Manager position at CLS.
