Registered Nurse Reports to: The Managing Director Work closely with : Bluebird Care National Quality & Clinical Governance Manager Purpose of The Role To adhere to the Bluebird Care brand and model upholding the quality and compliance and leading on clinical governance advice and guidance within business.
To develop and implement best practice in clinical governance and quality in the business to ensure on going compliance.
The candidate will need to keep up to date with regulatory bodies and any changes within the Healthcare sectors.
Duties Manage the safety and quality of the business Undertake relevant training and development to keep up to date with current legislation, regulatory developments and best practice and utilise this knowledge to drive continual improvement and clinical governance within the businesses.
Chair and facilitate quarterly quality and safety committee meetings in the business.
Attend any national Governance meetings Provide clinical advice and guidance for the business.
Provide Infection control lead for the business Monitor & management of all areas relating to Incident/Accidents and risk management Monitor, audit, and provide guidance and support with quality assurance, clinical governance, and compliance within the business Ensure the business is "audited" and best practice compliant at all times.
Complete and monitor quality assurance framework for the business and provide monthly updates to management at monthly meetings Responsible for operational KPI's - monitoring & reporting to managing Director Provide consultation and direction to the business to ensure service provisions are implemented at the highest standards and customers receive the highest level of care.
Understand all regulations, practices, and procedures within the Healthcare and domiciliary care sector.
Utilise experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals to improve quality and drive clinical governance within the business.
To keep up to date with innovations and developments in the field of older and disabled people's care as well as children's and adults complex care, ensuring our models and ways of working are based on current best thinking and practice.
Be prepared to work flexibly to ensure the business has access to the necessary support required to deliver the highest standard of care in the industry.
Provide a good service to customers To enable the business to promote the rights of each customer and keep their wishes at the centre of their care.
To ensure the franchise network operates a safeguarding culture ensuring that Bluebird Care's safeguarding procedures and protocols are effectively implemented to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers.
To ensure the franchise network comply with current legislation and that Bluebird Care's policies and procedures are implemented appropriately at franchise level.
To ensure all franchise territories contribute to the delivery of consistent high-quality services to all customers, ensuring an experience which often exceeds expectations and that the Bluebird Care as a brand is viewed in a positive way.
Lead and manage staff To help the business foster a quality focussed ethos that will be utilised to maintain a culture of performance and excellence.
To promote and maintain a positive and inclusive leadership and management culture which motivates, involves, and engages all colleagues.
To ensure projects and programmes are kept under review and any issues or challenges are identified- ensuring mitigation plans are developed and successfully implemented.
Promote the business Manage relationships with external stakeholders to promote the brand.
To ensure all stakeholders in any change/improvement project or programme are kept informed and can effectively contribute to work-plans.
To effectively represent and promote Bluebird Care where appropriate.
To be one of the main contacts for regulatory/statutory/sector bodies as required.

Knowledgeable about the principles of high-quality person-centred care and support and anti-discriminatory care practice Excellent understanding of the regulatory responsibilities and the law relating to domiciliary care services Strategic thinker who can develop and implement business and project plans A relevant qualification in project management and/ or a thorough understanding of business management and the principles of good leadership though implementing best practice Knowledge of health and safety and risk management in relation to homecare services Knowledge of how to recognise abuse and of safeguarding procedures Qualifications,   Experience, and skills Nursing Qualification - RNID, RGN or RCN and must be NMBI registered with an active PIN, essential.
