Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Substance Misuse

Nuvo Healthcare are currently seeking a Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our client's team in Dublin.
The successful candidate will work as part of the multidisciplinary project team to deliver low threshold psychiatric health services to people who are actively involved with, or affected by, problem substance use.
The successful candidate will provide clinical assistance to service users accessing the organisations homeless accommodation (in-reach) and at fixed site surgeries (outreach).
This role will involve carrying out health assessments, health care plans and crisis interventions, it is vital that strong and positive relationships are built with those accessing the service.
Key Responsibilities: To provide skilled nursing care and treatment for a caseload of service users.
Engage in ongoing training and development relevant to the role.
Liaise and build relationships with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that medical care is being provided as part of an integrated care plan.
Provide nursing interventions including wound care, mental health care plans, sexual health clinic, overdose management and general nursing interventions for service users within scope of practice.
Maintain a small surgery, under direction from line manager.
Ensure adequate stock and standards of equipment are maintained within the surgery.
Make appropriate referrals to health services.
Ensure are safeguarding or child protection concerns are reported.
Essential Criteria: Be registered on the Psychiatric Division of the NMBI register.
Have a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience, ideally with 1 year in drug or addiction services.
Strong communication skills.
The ability to work independently.
