We are currently seeking applications for the position of Relief Resource Teacher.
Continuation of this role is subject to receipt of funding.
The successful candidate will be employed as a Relief Resource Teacher in the New Directions Day Service and/or Training Area in Reach Ability. Supporting people to live the life of their choice to be best of their ability is central to the services we provide on a day-to-day basis. We place a strong focus on outcomes that will provide a feeling of empowerment, fulfilment, achievement and independence for the person involved. The Resource Teacher is a key member of the staff team helping to develop potential and build capacity in the areas of literacy and numeracy, communication and life skills. The role may also involve the designing and delivery of QQI modules at level 3 / level 4 and supporting students in the In-Tuition programme to achieve certification. Key Duties: Provide literacy and numeracy support to students (18-25) attending the New Directions Day Service Complete relevant assessments for individuals using the BSKB system. Assist individuals with the development of social literacy and numeracy skills support them in achieving their person centered goals often focused on building independence, community inclusion and making choices and plans.
Devise Individual Education Plans for all students suitable to their own needs and aptitudes Designing and delivery of QQI modules at level 3 / level 4 and supporting students in the In-Tuition programme to achieve certification Minimum Requirements: Be a qualified teacher as per the Department of Education and Science with a teacher number At least one year's relevant experience delivering resource teaching Have experience in the implementation of person centred programmes Have a full clean driving license Reach Ability are equal opportunity employers
