Applications are invited for the following Post in the Technological University Dublin: Post: Research Assistant A/B - In Cement-based Materials (Fixed Term Specified purpose contract for up to 5 Years with initial funding for 12 months) Reference: 287/2024 Location:The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e.
Grangegorman (Parkhouse), Blanchardstown or Tallaght.
The university may consider flexible working arrangements.
Hours of Work:A 37 hour working week is in operation.
Salary: The successful candidate will be appointed at point (01) of the Research Assistant A/B i.e.
€31,462 / €35,356 gross per annum.
Candidate will be appointed at appropriate level A/B depending on qualification and experience.
Remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.
Incremental credit may apply in line with University policy.
Closing Date: The closing date for applications is 5.00 pm (Irish Time) on Friday 20th September 2024.Late applications will not be accepted.
It is anticipated that interviews for this post will take place in week beginning 14th October 2024.
The interview assessment will be 45 minutes in length.

Full, clean driving licence with access to own transport (Essential).
Evidence of ability to analyse and write up data.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their demonstration of meeting every essential criterion so are asked to clearly outline how their experience and qualifications meet the criteria.
Personal attributes required for the role: The applicant must also be proactive in the conduct of the research and be expected to use their own initiative, subject to experience, mentor other researchers in the School and proactively seek opportunities for further funding.
