Working at Galway Hospice Foundation with immediate effect- Research Manager 21 hpw (0.6WTE) Initial Fixed Term Contract (6 months) with a view to extension The successful candidate will meet the following requirements: Essential Education: - MSc in Research, Health Service Research or a related field and or PhD or Postdoc or Fellowship in a relevant field Research Experience: - Proven track record of active involvement in health service research, ideally in palliative care or related areas.
- Experience in managing and leading research projects from inception to completion Publication Record: - A strong portfolio of published research in peer-reviewed journals Clinical Inclination: - While a background in clinical training, is not mandatory, a strong understanding and appreciation of clinical practices is highly desirable.
Desirable: - Experience in palliative care research.
- Experience in securing research funding and grants.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and policies in Ireland.
- Ability to mentor and develop research skills in clinical staff.
Skills & Competencies: - Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in research methodologies and statistical analysis.
- Strong networking and collaboration skills.
