Resident Engineer (Electrical) - North-West Ireland

AtkinsRealis is one of the world's leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.
We are seeking to recruit Resident Engineer (Electrical) with 7+ years of relevant experience in Site Supervision activities to be based out within North-West region of Ireland.
Candidates will be seconded into a client office/site to work on a number of capital projects in the water and wastewater sectors.
Desirable skills/attributes: Experience in administrating Contracts – Public Works & FIDIC.Knowledge and Awareness of Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations.Chartered Engineer.Managing Safely in Construction Training.Enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible.Willing to take responsibility and comfortable working as part of a team.An excellent communicator, written and verbal in English.Responsibilities: Specialising in Electrical elements of the works.Driving delivery of projects on site on behalf of Uisce Éireann with a focus on health & safety, time for delivery, cost management, and ensuring that the project is constructed to the specified quality standard.Ensuring that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents.Ensuring that all materials and workmanship are executed in accordance with the applicable specifications and that required testing is carried out.Monitoring and reporting on works being carried out to the Employer's Requirements.Ensuring that the employer's representative and relevant project manager are fully informed of all issues arising on site.Implementing Uisce Éireann safety policies and standards on the construction projects.Reviewing and commenting on project/site specific HSQE documentation.Monitoring compliance with contract health and safety requirements.Carrying out weekly documented health and safety site reviews and confirming satisfactory close out of health and safety issues.Ensuring that any accident or incident on site is reported to Uisce Éireann and assisting with the accident investigation.Participating in Uisce Éireann HSQE team monthly inspections and confirming satisfactory close out of any issues identified.About Us: At AtkinsRéalis we put Environment, Sustainability and Health & Safety at the heart of our business strategy.
