Resident Medical Officer (Nights)Bon Secours Hospital Limerick at Barringtons are currently inviting applications for the position of Resident Medical Officer who will work solely at night. The successful candidate will work on a shift basis, working 3 shifts per week, from 7pm to 7am with the possibility of weekend work also.
The post will include post-operative care of patients with emphasis on diagnosis and treatment of medical illness associated with surgery. The post does not have a surgical component and would suit someone with medical or anaesthetic registrar experience.
Post: Full time permanent position.
Hours of work: 39 hours per week. Flexibility around shifts is required.
The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator and enjoy the challenges of working in a dynamic team environment.
Eligibility Criteria: General Registration with the Irish Medical Council.Current BLS / ACLS training certificate.3 years post registration experience in an acute hospital setting.Demonstrable commitment to patient Safety & Quality.Proven experience dealing with the procedures of Cardiac Arrest and Stroke symptoms.Completed and up to date ACLS qualification.Strong communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.Computer literacy.Role & Responsibilities: To ensure a high standard of care is maintained at all times.Ensure the delivery of competent, compassionate and efficient care by monitoring and evaluating patient care processes and patient outcomes.To practice within and support the Bon Secours Mission and Values, policies, procedures, guidelines and new initiatives as directed/introduced by the hospital.Informal enquiries to: Dr Siobhan Grimes, Clinical Director – ******
