We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our Adare Manor team as Resort Sommelier. Our colleagues possess an intuitive service style that reflects the ethos and luxury of Adare Manor. The person in this role will be a creative individual with an in depth knowledge of current industry trends with the ability to lead a team in providing the flawless service our guests expect.
As Resort Sommelier you will be responsible for: The overall success of the wine program at Adare Manor including all outlets Be focused on guest service and be a key figure for wine service in The Oak Room, 1 Michelin Star restaurant Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to continually improve service and offering for our guests Ensure all wine lists are updated and correct Build key relationships with suppliers to ensure a creative wine list whilst achieving financial targets Collaborate with wine makers and vineyards to organise wine events at the resort Demonstrate knowledge by leading the team to accomplish daily goals and targets Ensuring our colleagues are nurtured and challenged within their roles to ensure peak performance Continually developing the product and the guest service proposition at Adare Manor to ensure it is positioned as a market leader Ensuring a highly effective operation, delivery of 'Beyond Everything' service excellence, and maximising revenue and profitability across all areas in line with budget expectations Successful candidates for this job will: Have experience within a similar role in the luxury restaurant or hotel market Possess exceptional knowledge of wine vintages Have previous experience managing an extensive wine list. Have attained WSET and Court of Master Sommelier education Have in depth knowledge of wines and service being able to create an approachable environment for our guests to try new wines Demonstrate a strong leadership presence and take a proactive hands on role in order to identify and support colleagues on all levels Be an inspirational leader who is passionate about creating highly energised teams to provide world class service Be fluent in spoken and written English Demonstrate the ability to work in a pressured environment with high expectation guests Be commercially astute and have solid financial awareness We offer an exceptional working environment, development opportunities that are beyond everything, state of the art equipment as well as competitive rates of pay & benefits.
