In line with our continued expansion, Ei Electronics has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious supply chain professional with a keen interest in Sustainability and Supplier responsibility management.
The role will report directly to our Head of Supply Chain and will have dotted line reporting to the Quality Manager.
This is a new role that will involve a lot of collaboration with other departments and our suppliers.
In this role you'll get to:Drive the supplier onsite audit programme, in collaboration with our Quality Department.Evaluate new suppliers as a member of our supplier evaluation team.Formulate a supplier rating system based on department KPI's.Lead our responsible sourcing programme and manager our annual Ecovadis submission.Ensure our Supply Chain policies and procedures are up to date.Represent the Supply Chain team for Customer and Standards Certification standards.Contribute to our established CSR and Sustainability Strategy including re-shoring initiatives.Participate in our value analysis programmes.Work as part of a team in achieving our supply chain KPI's that include dual sourcing, cost reduction and supplier management.Train our suppliers in Ei Policies and Procedures and ensure that they are compliant with our standards including sustainability.Sourcing capabilities and act as a back-up to the Buying Team.The PersonThe candidate needs to have the ability to work with people and solve problems.
They must have the ability to improve processes and procedures.The candidate must possess the highest ethical standards and be experienced dealing with suppliers in a professional and logical manner.N.B* This role will also involve some travel to our suppliers' sites in Ireland, Europe, and Asia (around 10-15%).
Ei Electronics uses external auditors in Asia, therefore, limited travel outside of Europe is expected.
