GEA Ireland, a leading provider of processing equipment across various industries in the Irish market, is seeking to expand our team with a Technical Sales Engineer. This role will focus on the sales of our valves, pumps, and homogenizers portfolio.
Your responsibilities and tasks:This role offers flexibility in location and can be based anywhere in Ireland. It requires extensive travel. Expand our business of hygienic and sterile valve and cleaning device solutions to the Pharmaceutical, BioPharma, and renewable resource industries in Ireland.Support the sales and promotion of our Hilge hygienic pump range.Drive the sales of Niro Soavi homogenizers.Champion GEA's sustainability mission by promoting innovative products and solutions that drive environmental efficiency.Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through a thorough analysis of both existing and potential customers' needs, with a focus on 60% new business development and 40% existing business growth.Create and execute targeted strategies aimed at increasing product sales and expanding market share.Proactively follow up on quotations and ensure timely sales closures, while consistently updating and maintaining the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.Manage the entire sales process, from identifying opportunities to delivery and post-sale account management, ensuring a seamless customer experience.Collaborate with customers to understand and fulfil their requirements, including contract development and negotiation to ensure mutual benefit.Take a hands-on approach in monitoring sales trends and implementing strategies to drive market share growth and enhance business outcomes.Your profile and qualifications:A technical qualification is required, along with previous experience in technical sales.Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn various process applications of our equipment.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including strong presentation abilities.Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships with customers from the first point of contact.Customer-focused, with a proactive approach to identifying and meeting customer needs while maintaining the highest company quality and ISO standards.Proficient in using computer systems, including spreadsheets and databases such as SAP (CRM), and capable of compiling and issuing reports when requested by management.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong organisational skills, able to manage and prioritise workload, meet sales targets, and complete tasks within tight deadlines.A motivated and energetic team player.Proactive, with the ability to take initiative in the role.Must be hands-on and willing to engage in practical tasks.GEA is an equal opportunity employer.
