Sanderson is partnering with a leading medical group to recruit a dedicated Billing Manager.
This role involves overseeing the billing team and ensuring the accurate and timely generation of invoices.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise the billing team, ensuring all staff meet their targets.
Set and align team goals with divisional and organisational objectives.
Motivate and manage team members, setting clear goals and objectives.
Develop and implement procedures for accurate and timely invoice generation.
Train staff and identify training needs, designing and delivering training programs as required.
Establish internal controls to monitor billing accuracy.
Generate accurate and timely invoices for complex inpatient stays.
Collaborate with hospital departments to ensure all billable procedures are captured and billed correctly.
Achieve month-end billing targets and deadlines.
Develop and monitor KPIs for team members.
Assist the claims manager in meeting monthly finance team submission targets.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly activity statistics and variance analysis.
Represent the finance team in monthly inter-departmental meetings.
Resolve daily issues within the team.
Contribute to system upgrades and implementations to enhance billing quality and efficiency.
Maintain regular contact with the Finance Office Manager, reporting any issues.
Undertake additional duties or projects as required.
Qualifications and Experience Required: Relevant third-level qualification with evidence of continuous professional development.
Experience in people management or leading a team/project.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in finance or billing within a healthcare setting.
Ability to prioritise tasks to meet billing targets.
Strong team management skills for high performance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility.
Excellent communication skills.
