Sanderson are partnering with a Semi State to recruit for an exciting permanent opportunity for a Finance Commercial Manager for the Finance Team.
The successful candidate must be a qualified accountant, have commercial and business awareness and have a high proficiency in Microsoft suite of products.
and they will be responsible for the preparation of all financial revenue reports and will have a prime focus to monitor the associated commercial profitability of multiple commercial contracts, in line with business requirements and timelines.
Key Responsibilities Analysis of a product line to understand revenue by key metrics Become an expert on all aspects of revenue, fares and tickets and to understand the connectivity between financial systems.
Interrogation of data to report on movements and variances.
Analysis of passenger yields with focus on revenue maximisation on existing and new services.
Ensure that business revenue is incorporating the correct amount each period.
Develop a deep understanding of the link between all ticketing systems back to SAP and ensure revenue completeness periodically.
Work with the other teams during ticket classification changes or product changes to ensure financials are always accurate.
Responsible for the build-up of all journals required on revenue for period end Responsible for the analysis and review of our key commercial contracts.
Analysis of key information/data to enable maximisation of profits on contracts/commercial products.
Assist with benchmarking Commercial costs & revenues against industry averages.
Provide analysis in the development of information for key decision making regarding existing and new commercial routes and services.
Ensure that the Commercial side of the business is only taking their associated costs.
Review Route profitability reporting periodically with commentary on Commercial performance.
Qualifications and Experience Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
Strong commercial focus in previous roles.
Proven track record in analytical decision making and delivery of objectives.
Demonstrated skills and experience in effectively engaging and communicating with a range of internal/external stakeholders Experience in processing confidential and time-sensitive information, demonstrating numeric ability, accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent planning and organising skills with the ability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities to tight deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems independently.
