My client is seeking a highly motivated Reinsurance Accountant to join their dynamic Reinsurance Operations team on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing all accounting aspects of assigned reinsurance contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
This position is hybrid working in the Dublin office.
Duties and Responsibilities: Verify underwriting data for quota share and or excess of loss contracts.
Maintain accuracy of premium information on excess of loss contracts, including endorsements, premium adjustments, and cash allocations.
Oversee all aspects of quota share programs, including bordereau reporting, claims payments, and cash allocation.
Monitor aging of accounts receivable and manage collection efforts.
Liaise with brokers and underwriters to resolve queries, address outstanding receivables, and manage premium adjustments.
Complete monthly close of underwriting systems.
Undertake additional projects and tasks as required to support the department.
Preferred Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
Ability to read and understand reinsurance contracts.
Knowledge of accounting for quota share and excess of loss contracts.
Experience with underwriting systems.
Financial reporting experience in a SOX and SEC regulated environment.
Fluency in English is required; additional language skills in French, Spanish, or other languages are a plus.
