Tirlán, currently partnering with a 3rd party service provider for the provision of IT services, is about to embark on a significant IT transformation programme to stand up its own IT capability. The initial focus will be on enabling projects and will involve close collaboration with our partner. This will require a number of new and exciting roles to join the Tirlán IT team, working in a dynamic & collaborative environment.

Overview Reporting to the IT Transformation Manager, the SAP Basis & DBA Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the organisation's SAP Landscape, SAP Basis capability and Oracle services in the organisation. This role requires close collaboration with other teams to ensure the platform is secure, performs well, and is always available. The role will oversee the work performed and manage operational aspects of the managed service provider relationship.
Key Responsibilities A member of the SAP Basis/DBA team whose responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's SAP LandscapeCollaborate with other teams to identify the requirements for the SAP Landscape and prioritize development effortsTrack and report on SLA adherence of the managed service provider for SAP LandscapeManage the managed service provider for the SAP Landscape, consisting of:Ensuring the organisation's SAP systems are secure, perform well, and are always availableDeveloping and implementing data backup and disaster recovery plans for the SAP environmentMonitoring and optimizing the performance of the SAP systems, identifying and resolving any issuesImplementing and maintaining security protocols and access controls for the SAP systemsDeveloping and maintaining documentation for all SAP systems and proceduresEnsuring the organization is in compliance with relevant data privacy and protection regulations for SAP systemsDefine policies and standards for the management of the SAP Landscape and Oracle servicesOversee the management of Microsoft SQL database services across the organisationOversee the management of Oracle services (Database, Forms & Reports) in Tirlán, ensuring system availability and performance.Identify future requirements for Oracle services (upgrades/patches, etc.) and work with relevant teams to ensure smooth delivery of sameCollaborate with other teams to support ongoing development on the Oracle platformBudget management, ensuring all costs associated with the operations and maintenance of the SAP systems are controlled efficientlyKey Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field3 - 5 years' experience as an SAP Basis administrator or DBAOracle experience with familiarity of database design and upgrades, coding and performance tuningExperience of working with a managed service providerSAP Basis administration skills, along with database management languages.Proven experience with SAP database management systems such as SAP HANA, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with SAP Business Technology Platform or related SAP Cloud servicesFamiliar with data backup and recovery methodologies and disaster recovery planning for SAP environmentsExperience in monitoring and optimizing the performance of SAP systemsKnowledge of security protocols and access controls for SAP systemsFamiliar with relevant data privacy and protection regulations for SAP systemsStrong communication and documentation skillsProven analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong team player with a growth mindsetAbout us Through our expertise in research and development, customer insights, food safety and state-of-the-art manufacturing we bring innovative food and nutrition solutions to a global market.
