Location: Hybrid – Central Park 2 days a week, remote up to 3 days a week
This role is being offered on a permanent basis.
We're looking for someone who: Can implement statistical models and rule based strategies in a SAS environment;Demonstrates experience in the areas of SAS tool usage with large data structures;Will support the end to end integration of model outputs into downstream applications assuring data lineage;Has an understanding of the model types that the team implements such as IRB, IFRS9, customer strategies and propensity models, etc.;Follows application design standards and frameworks related to model deployment and execution;Ensures model deployments are to the highest quality and standards.About the Role: The Model Engineering team forms part of the Data Engineering and Architecture area within the Centre of Excellence for Data and Analytics at AIB.
The team implements models on behalf of Risk and other Business Stakeholders within a complex IT and data infrastructure.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the successful candidate to expand the team's ability to deliver models in a best in class infrastructure where data and analytical tooling integrate deeply.
Key responsibilities include: Implementation of statistical models in a SAS environment;Supporting the end to end integration of model outputs into downstream applications;Following application design standards and frameworks related to model deployment and execution.What you will bring: Minimum of bachelor degree in a discipline incorporating: information management related disciplines or quantitative analytical techniques, e.g., Software Engineering, Data and Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics;2+ years' experience in a relevant area with knowledge of the software development lifecycle and IT change management, with an understanding of Risk and/or other model types, and their interdependencies a plus;Experience in the SAS Suite of Applications (ETL DI Studio, EMiner, Base, Access Layer) on Unix environment or similar;Data management, analytical and reporting skills - Experience on large databases, preferably Teradata.
