The Role: SCADA / OT Engineer Limerick - Onsite Permanent or Contractor opportunity Role Brief: In this role you will focus on the design, development, testing, and validation of SCADA, Batch Control, OEE, or Historian systems.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and project managers, working on either single or multiple client projects to deliver tailored solutions.
Skills Brief: Controls expertise across PLC/ HMI/ SCADA would be essential.
Experience developing SCADA applications using the Ignition SCADA platform is preferable Familiarity with industrial controls protocols such as OPC DA/ UA for equipment integration to Level 2 systems.
Familiarity with IoT protocols and technologies such as MQTT and Kafka would be desirable but not essential.
Desirable: Ideally you will have some or all of these skills: SQL Expertise: The candidate should have experience developing / maintaining databases utilised by applications developed (MS SQL Server / Postgres desirable).
Awareness/ experience of integration requirements for MES applications.
Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python scripting is a requirement.
Additionally, Java, C# , Visual Basic would be beneficial.
Agile Methodologies: experience working in agile project with Azure DevOps is an advantage, but not essential.
Person Brief The ideal candidate will have a background within the Life Science Industry, with a strong under-standing of 21CFR , GAMP 5, GxP and validation protocols.
3+ years experience in a software development role is essential with higher level coding and developments skills in the likes of C#, VB, .NET, SQL Server As this is a client facing role, excellent communication and documentation skills are required in requirements definition, design and validation phases of projects.
You must be located in Limerick or within a commutable distance as this role is fully onsite.
