The Scientist - 12-month FTC for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible supporting the Reagent Manufacturing Operation consistent with the business objectives of quality, velocity, performance, and cost.
This position is part of the Technical Operations located in Clare and will be based onsite.

You will be a part of the UA Technical Operations team and report to Manager, Technical Operations responsible for technical investigations and testing.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Ensure that all processes, equipment, materials and methods, used in the manufacture of Urinalysis Test Strips follow Good Manufacturing requirements and ISO 13485/FDA Regulations Complete testing and write reports for Out of Specification and Deviation Reports with discrepant material and technical issues.
Complete technical investigations, including run setup, review of results and statistical analysis of data to resolve simple and complex technical issues with products /processes.
Consult on the tests and experimental work to investigate simple to complex technical issues and customer complaints.
Support CAPA activities and the disposition of non-conforming material.
The essential requirements of the job include: Relevant Bachelor's degree (level 8) such as in a science discipline with a minimum of 2 years relevant working experience Proven investigation and problem-solving skills Experience using analytical laboratory equipment Chemical Handling Experience It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Broad knowledge of medical diagnostic techniques and extensive technical knowledge of UA diagnostics reagents and associated systems A good understanding of cGMP and ISO/FDA requirements is beneficial.
