Nua Healthcare Services (Nua) is one of Irelands leading Private Healthcare Providers, specialising in Residential, Mental and Supported Living Services, to both Children and Adults with a range of complex support needs.
We are currently seeking applicants from Security Officers who are interested in joining Nua Healthcares team at our new forensic mental health facility.

Nua Healthcares multidisciplinary team has a broad range of clinical professionals such as Clinical Directors, Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurses from a psychiatric background, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Behaviour Specialists and Dietitians amongst many others who support our care pathways across Ireland.
We are seeking experienced Security Officers to join our team at Nua Healthcare to ensure thatservices are always being delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards to our patients with mental disorders within our mental health service.
This will include the following on a day-to-day basis: Main Duties: To provide physical protection to patients, staff, visitors, and all person while on Tearmann House property.
To protect company property, cars, and assets.
Issue and control of keys.
Patrol of Tearmann House and boundary, to guard against damage, fire, trespass, vandalism, theft, assault, and wastage.
List and report to Head of Security on property lost, stolen, or recovered within the Tearmann House.
Maintain all appropriate records considered necessary in relation to Security.
Monitor of C.C.T.V.
Respond to all requests of a security nature i.e., difficult visitor/ patients.
To be familiar with the aims and objectives of Tearmann House security.
To attend for duty at the time specified.
To work night duty and day duty as rostered.
To be neat and to maintain a high level of dress and deportment and wear as directed any item of uniform clothing or identification as may be issued by Management.
Ensure Implementation of Nua Policies and Procedures i.e., Tobacco Free Policy, Parking Policy, and Observation Policy etc.
Comply with all Infection Prevention and Control requirements including compliance with hand hygiene, standard precautions, dress code and health and safety.
To operate and become familiar with the functioning of all firefighting, access control communications and equipment which may be required to use from time to time.
To carry out all fire prevention and security patrols within and outside the LSU, as directed.
To advise Management on any matters relating to security, traffic control and fire prevention which may require his/her attention.
To control traffic and parking in the LSU Grounds as directed and liaise with any outside body employed to manage car parking.
To investigate and report on incidents occurring in the LSU.
To carry out security function on the implementation of the Major Accident Plan.
To liaise with the An Garda Siochana on matters relating to LSU security.
To provide necessary escorts for personnel and property as may be required.
Maintain and update any IT database as required.

Qualification: PSA licence Experience: Have recent experience within the last 3 years working in Security Services or related services.
Experience within a hospital setting highly desirable Skills: Excellent overall demeanour.
An ability to empathise with and understand the needs of others.
A strong desire to be ones best.
Excellent organisational skills / self-motivated / self-starter.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and IT skills.
Willingness to work as part of a multi-departmental team.
Willingness to learn.
