The Security Operations Engineer is responsible for monitoring, managing, and protecting the organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves identifying and responding to security incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cybersecurity and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks.
What is your role and your responsibilities? Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitor networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions. Analyze security alerts and determine the appropriate response.Incident Response: Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.Policy Development: Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Collaboration: Work closely with other IT and security teams to design and implement security solutions and improvements.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of security incidents, changes, and updates to the security infrastructure.Training and Awareness: Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices and emerging threats.
