As a Self-Employed Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are properly displayed, stocked, and promoted in retail locations.
You will work independently to maintain product visibility and ensure that merchandise meets the company's visual standards.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively.
Key Responsibilities: Product Display and Arrangement: Set up and maintain product displays to meet company and client standards.
Ensure products are placed in optimal locations for visibility and sales.
Rotate products to ensure freshness and appeal.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and replenish merchandise as needed.
Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
Communicate with store managers and suppliers regarding stock requirements.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all displays and merchandising setups comply with company policies and branding guidelines.
Implement promotional materials and signage as per client instructions.
Customer and Client Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers and staff.
Act as a point of contact for clients regarding merchandising issues and inquiries.
Provide feedback and insights on product performance and customer preferences.
Reporting and Documentation: Complete and submit daily/weekly reports on merchandising activities and sales performance.
Document any issues or challenges encountered and propose solutions.
Travel and Mobility: Travel to various retail locations within your assigned territory.
Ensure reliable transportation and manage travel expenses within budget.
Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in merchandising, retail, or a related field is preferred.
Experience working independently or in a self-employed capacity is an asset.
Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
Requirements: Reliable transportation and a valid Irish / EU B drivers license required Ability to lift and move products as needed.
Basic proficiency with technology (e.g., smartphone, tablet) for reporting and communication.
