We are working with a company who are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join their team. The right candidate should be a highly capable Communications and Public Relations Professional who is capable of handling a wide range of projects with a high degree of independence and sound judgement.
About you Ability to "act up" for the Account Director when required and capitalize on opportunities with clients. Ability to mitigate multiple issues with a high degree of success. Capable of being the lead contact for the client depending on the consultancy or business need appropriate at the time. Actively involved in the new business development of the company, including growing existing clients and winning new ones. Demonstrated experience in managing a wide variety of client situations, including leadership changes and issues management over an extended period of time. Proficient in the development of plans, exercising sound strategic foresight, and has mastered campaign development and ideation. Excellent copy-writing, media management, and event management skills. Stays on top of trends in the market and applies them to client programmes when appropriate. Good knowledge of the digital/social landscape and has developed new competencies in this area. Takes a lead role in evaluating campaigns and introducing new measurement tools as required. Invests in personal and team development. Involved in the recruitment and management of interns and AEs. Account Management Perform day-to-day client account work, including media monitoring, producing written materials, coordinating events, and managing projects.Be familiar with communications plans for client accounts and track business and PR objectives.Design and execute media relations campaigns that meet client objectives.Act as a liaison between clients, outside suppliers, and other audiences.Meet with client contacts professionally and maintain respect/confidence.Have knowledge of resources available throughout the company and how to apply them for clients.Have a good knowledge of PR measurement tools.Be a skilled writer, capable of producing various PR materials.Maintain up-to-date media lists and contacts.Manage events such as press conferences and media briefings.Demonstrate proficiency in using research capabilities and preparing analyses.Financial/Administrative Apply understanding of budget development and monitoring.Manage billing and activity reporting processes.Oversee preparation of activity reports as required.Complete timesheets daily and act in accordance with company policies.Manage time for optimum productivity.Business Development Contribute to the development and presentation of new business programmes.Conceptualize programme strategies and implementation tactics.Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and pursue new business.Contribute informed opinions and creative answers to client needs.Initiative and General Management Balance workload and tasks, communicating effectively with team members.Exemplify teamwork capabilities and demonstrate supervisory skills.Identify and pursue opportunities for enhancing contributions to the account and team.Operate with independence while knowing when to seek advice.Demonstrate proficiency in managing agency and client resources.Recommend solutions when problems arise.Proactively seek and share information with colleagues and clients.Participate actively in team and client meetings.Professional & Personal Development Display work ethic and values in day-to-day behaviour.Take initiative in building skills and knowledge.Work with Manager to identify training needs for self and others.If you would like to apply for this job and think you have what it takes, hit the APPLY button and good luck!
