Currently experiencing a growth in new business, they now require a Senior Accountant to manage & develop the finance function. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a broad hands-on management accounting role. As the candidate will be joining at a stage when the company is relatively young and in development mode, the role represents an opportunity to "add value" and make a strong contribution to the continued growth of the business. Offers significant upward career progression.
Duties will include: Preparation of monthly management accounts for group companies.Assist senior management with budgeting, systems development, and tax planning activities across the group.Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reconciled accurately and on a timely basis.Manage inter-company transactions.Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.Ongoing review and improvement of Internal Financial Controls.Management and development of the finance team.Ensure organisation is compliant with Taxation and Statutory obligations.Manage Year-end Audit and interaction with auditors.Other ad hoc duties and projects as required.Candidate Profile Ideal candidate will have a number of years' experience within a quality well-run business. Role will suit a pro-active candidate who is comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business. Candidate should be a qualified accountant, with excellent IT and inter-personal skills and a pro-active "can do" attitude. Working experience within a fast-paced service, construction or engineering environment would be a distinct advantage. Client will also consider an accountant making their 1st post-qualified move from practice to industry.
