Senior Accountant

Details of the offer

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for accounting for product sales (revenue recognition) by Regeneron's Ex-US entities, across Europe and Asia.
A typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following: Completing revenue recognition activities and tasks on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis such as: Recording sales by legal entity and location Recording GTN (Gross To Net) adjustments for rebates, clawback agreements, etc.
Maintaining GTN files by country Liaising with Finance and Commercial teams on GTN assumptions Recording cash receipts and discounts Reconciling sales and AR data Ensuring revenue recognition is compliant with corporate policy and US GAAP Providing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analysis for related AR accounts Providing commentary for accounting leadership team and others on monthly fluxes in revenue Developing internal controls and procedures, and ensuring internal controls are designed and operating effectively in compliance with the provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act Developing and improving systems and controls on an ongoing basis Aiding in the development of financial policies and procedures Supporting the internal statutory team to ensure smooth audit processes and timely responsiveness to auditor requests and statutory timelines for Ex-US entities Liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and timely responsiveness to auditor requests Liaising with the Company's Corporate Accounting Department to ensure that all group requirements are met This role might be for you if: You are a self-starter with the ability to operate in a multifaceted environment, able to work on own initiative and within a team environment You have strong organisational skills and demonstrate good attention to detail You have the ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously, and are able to adapt to changing circumstances You have excellent written and verbal communication skills You have strong analytical skills You demonstrate a high proficiency with Microsoft applications especially Microsoft Excel You have strong knowledge of Oracle Systems and exposure to US GAAP To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a professional Accountancy qualification with 3+ years post qualification experience.
Relevant experience ideally in a multinational manufacturing environment.
Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
