Senior Architect – Healthcare Projects About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Architect with specialized expertise in healthcare design.
This position offers the chance to lead and collaborate on a variety of significant healthcare projects across the UK and Ireland, with new commissions in Dublin and Belfast for both public and private sectors.
Role Responsibilities As a Senior Architect within the Healthcare sector, you will: * Lead the design and development of healthcare facilities, ensuring alignment with client and user needs, operational functionality, and site context.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and user groups, providing a consultative approach to project planning.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality healthcare projects, including hospitals, wellness centres, and emergency departments, from initial concept through to project completion.
Skills & Experience Required * Experience: Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in healthcare architecture.
* Specialized Knowledge: Proven experience in healthcare planning, including client and user engagement.
* Technical Skills: Familiarity with HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda) and HBNs (Health Building Notes); experience with Autodesk Revit is preferred.
Skills in ADB, Codebook, Microsoft Access, and Excel are advantageous.
* Design & Detailing: Strong design sensibility with solid technical and construction detailing skills.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of Building Regulations and statutory approval processes.
Personal Attributes * Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable, with strong communication skills.
* Able to engage effectively with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
* Eligible to work in the UK and Ireland with a valid driving license.
