Description: Carne is looking for a Senior Associate to join the NAV Oversight Team. The successful candidate will be exposed to many aspects of the Management Company and its funds and will also play an important role in ensuring the oversight and governance framework is implemented and maintained.
What is your role and your responsibilities? Responsible for the day-to-day oversight for a portfolio of funds, likely to include hedge funds, equity long-only, fixed income and other investment strategies.Perform 2nd level of control on NAV deliverables produced by the fund accountants to analyze and justify NAV impacts and exceptions.As part of oversight and control responsibilities, monitor and review the fund accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate NAV calculation and reporting.Monitor prices of the underlying assets, corporate action activities, NAV publications, funds' movements, expenses, and other NAV components.Handle the oversight and review of the day-to-day operations of the funds by working with various parties, including portfolio managers and fund administrators.Monitor and strive for improvement on quality of service delivered by the service providers, analyze KPI, report incidents, work with operational risk team to eliminate process weaknesses.Provide operational support on special events occurring during the life cycle of the funds, such as the implementation of new sub-funds or share classes, liquidations, mergers or transfers.Work with various internal parties to facilitate fund expense payment cycles, review fund budgets and TERs.Support the audit process and help coordinate the audits in line with regulatory requirements.Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously while contributing to team effort at all times.Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.Seek internal process improvements by collaborating with other team.What are the minimum Requirements you need for the role? University degree in business/finance/accounting or similar.Previous experience in an asset/investment management firm or similar relevant experience desirable.Qualification or part qualification in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, CAIA or working towards would be advantageous.Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.What Competencies do you require? Has the interests of the team at heart, works for the good of the team.Technical Knowledge: As dictated by clients being worked on: IRL: UCITS. AIFM; LUX: UCITS, AIFM, UCI; All associated underlying assets as per clients portfolio; Relevant Legislation i.e. EMIR, SFDR.Who is Carne?
