Job Description & Summary: PwC is the market leader in Transfer Pricing (TP) in Ireland. Our TP team consists of 4 Partners and over 60 TP experts who specialise in helping organisations develop and implement intra-group business models, comply with local and international TP rules and stay ahead of changes that impact their businesses, navigating complexity and risk. Our Transfer Pricing practice is the biggest of its kind in Ireland and is at the forefront of change in the sector. We have a strong dynamic team committed to delivering innovative solutions to our diverse client base. Our clients are varied and include leading multinationals in the technology, pharma, life sciences and financial services sectors (including aviation leasing, banking, asset management, insurance and real estate) to Irish based Plcs, start-ups and growing private companies.
What we do: Managing TP risk remains critical as businesses and tax authorities navigate increasingly uncertain times and growing demands for more tax transparency. With this changing environment in focus, our clients expect us to have a global & local perspective and advise them on managing their TP risks and on all aspects of TP advisory from documentation and compliance to the review, design and implementation of global TP policy, business restructurings and dispute resolution.
What does this role offer? As a Transfer Pricing Senior Associate you'll work as part of a dynamic and diverse team of problem solvers with extensive consulting experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution documentation and defense. You'll work on complex and challenging multi-jurisdictional assignments and gain experience working with prestigious and interesting clients - from the largest multinational organisations to Irish start-ups and private businesses expanding their international footprint. You'll be encouraged to innovate to solve complex problems and develop digital tools to help us maximize the client experience.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work on a challenging, evolving and varied client portfolio, with excellent opportunities to develop as a manager of your own portfolio.Build client relationships while assisting in the ongoing management of client projects, business development and participation in various consultancy projects.Engage in a hybrid working environment with efficient management of personal assignments, coaching and supporting others, while reporting to a team of experienced managers, senior managers, directors and partners.Mentor and coach trainees, promoting autonomy to make a difference and deliver results.Lead by example in an environment where innovative thinking, curiosity and a self-led approach to learning are at the forefront of everything we do.Assist with ongoing learning and development by participating in and assisting the management group with the preparation and delivery of technical training.Being part of and contributing to fostering the fun working environment offered by PwC and acting as an advocate to promote our continuous learning culture.Embrace the digital transformation being undertaken in our business. The ideal candidate would have experience in a mature TP market where a large proportion of time was spent on consulting projects.Degree in accounting, economics, finance, international business, law or other relevant disciplines/areas.Post-graduate degree or qualification preferred with a strong academic record.Ability to successfully multitask while working independently or within a group environment.Strong business acumen; ability to think commercially on projects and share industry insights with teams. Ability to identify gaps in the market and support our business development initiatives.Capable of working in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple projects across a number of teams simultaneously.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Proven ability to collaborate and share in the success of the team.
