Senior Automation Engineer

A leading Medical Device company based in Fermoy, Cork is actively looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities: To grow the sites Automation capabilities to win new revenue through offering cost effective and competitive assembly options. Support Business development team to win new business in product development space.Project Manage when required new product development/introduction projectsManage the development of Automation systems for new and existing productsWork with customers and potential customers to promote the company in the area of Automation for improved manufacturingProvide technical reports/proposals and simulations for production linesLead new automation projects from the development of URS, sourcing integration partners, and development builds to full productionBuild relationships with other sites in relation to Automation initiatives and best practicesRequirements NFQ Level 8 Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics or automation-related discipline)3/5 years experience in a similar design/project management engineering role in manufacturing or equipment build environmentExcellent equipment knowledge and process debug troubleshooting skillsExperience in Design for ManufacturingGood knowledge is an advantage with regard to the following areas: PLC programming, Pneumatics, Robotics, Product assembly techniques, Label Applicators, Laser Marking, Tooling Design (pallets, robot grippers, nests, etc)For a confidential discussionandmore information on the role,please contactKevin Griffin Kevin Griffin
