Are you an Automation Engineer looking for a role that will make a difference? Reporting to the Global Operation Technology (OT) Lead, this is a central engineering role. The key focus will be supporting and working with the global automation group on the delivery, and management of OT (OPERATIONAL TECHNOLOGY) capital spend across the business.
The Snr Automation Engineer will be dealing with 3rd party consultants delivering large IT/OT projects e.g., Digital Factory, System Platform Migration, IT (Information Technology) /OT projects and supporting other key initiative within cybersecurity.
ResponsibilitiesPrinciple role accountabilities: Lead the automation agenda as part of a multi-discipline team tasked with delivering global solutions.Identify and scope out the Operational Technology and Automation elements of work (budget, cost, implementation approach) across the global platform.Responsible for preparation of specifications, proposal review, clarification meetings, technical compliance of proposal as part of tender process for all sites.Manage System Integrators and contractors responsible for discrete portions of Automation work during project phases ensuring safe execution, budget control and schedule adherence.Define and maintain governance for planning, prioritisation, delivery, and management of OT /Automation elements of the project.Ensure all projects are designed and executed to the PGCS automation and global PepsiCo specifications standards, ensure all projects meet compliance standards and industry best practice.Develop and provide technical training at all levels on the manufacturing sites to ensure effective handover of OT systems / projects.Leading Cybersecurity workstreams including Disaster Recovery – develop and maintain disaster recovery and cyber security incident response plans to ensure business continuity for the OT layers.QualificationsEssential skills: Automation or Engineering Degree/Master coupled with 5-7 years plus demonstrated track record in chemical or pharma or food environment.Knowledge and experience in defining and implementing strategies and policies for OT environments using GAMP, ISA88, ISA95 and ISA62443.Understanding of ICS (Industrial Control Systems) policy and architecture standards.Experience with development, integration and project management of automated control systems including e.g., PLC's, SCADA, Batching Systems etc.Strong background in the development and implementation of Aveva products including system platform, OMI, historian etc.Knowledge and experience of ITIL practices for service incidents, problem, and change management.You'll be responsible for providing service to cross functional teams, so we're looking for someone who can communicate clearly and empathetically, whether by phone, email, or chat.Change management advocate.Potential travel requirements to other PGCS locations as part of project.Who we are:We are a Manufacturing Unit in PepsiCo, sourcing ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 recipes for PepsiCo's mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi.
