Senior Av Installer

We are currently working with our client to source an experienced Senior AV (Audio-Visual) Installer who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of complex AV systems set in commercial and corporate environments. The ideal candidate will come to the role having skills of technical expertise, project management, and leadership skills.
Role Outline: Install AV equipment such as projectors, screens, video conferencing systems, control systems, audio systems, displays, and more.Mount hardware securely and run necessary cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5/6, audio cables).Ensure proper wiring and connection of components.Program and configure AV systems for optimal performance, including sound calibration and display settings.Test and troubleshoot installations to ensure all components function correctly.Work with control systems like Crestron, AMX, or Extron to automate AV functions.Oversee the entire AV installation process from initial site surveys to the final handover to the client.Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure AV solutions meet the project's design specifications.Manage schedules, deadlines, and resource allocation for AV projects.Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for installed AV systems.Offer training to clients or end users on how to operate the installed systems.Provide technical documentation and system manuals.Requirements: Supervise junior AV installers and technicians.Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and best practices.Act as the main point of contact for clients during the installation process.Several years of experience in AV installation and system integration, often at least 5+ years.Knowledge of AV control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron), networking, audio calibration, video conferencing systems (e.g., Zoom Rooms), digital signage, and signal flow.Industry certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), Crestron, AMX, or Extron certifications are highly desirable.Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with complex AV systems and signal flow issues.Ability to work directly with clients, contractors, and team members to explain technical details and project status.Precision in installation and configuration is key to ensuring optimal system performance.This role often involves physical work, including lifting and working in confined or elevated spaces. The Senior AV Installer plays a critical role in ensuring seamless integration of technology within client spaces.
