As part of this transformation, we're looking to hire a Senior Back-End Software Developer to build the backend-side logic and APIs for scalable, high-performance web applications hosted on AWS cloud services. In this critical role, you will work closely with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, technical leads, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality of all systems.

Key Responsibilities: Back-End Development: Build and maintain scalable server-side applications using C# .NET Framework/.NET Core/.NET 5 and Python, based on AWS cloud services.API Design: Design, develop, and maintain secure, efficient, and scalable APIs.Optimization: Optimize server-side code for performance, reliability, and scalability across a range of web-capable devices.Security & Data Protection: Implement security and data protection mechanisms to ensure the integrity of our systems.Collaboration: Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, ensuring smooth functionality and user experience.Clean Code: Write clean, well-documented code that adheres to best practices and standards.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and debug issues across the entire application stack to maintain peak performance.Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to implement best practices.Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).5+ years of software development experience, with a focus on backend technologies.Proficiency in C# .NET Framework/.NET Core/.NET 5 and Python.Version Control: Familiarity with Git and GitHub; experience with code review processes.Automation & Testing: Knowledge of automated testing using xUnit, Xray, or Playwright.Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Collaborative Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.A pragmatic approach to software development, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Ability to work remotely and independently, managing your own workload and responsibilities.Nice to Have: Knowledge of geospatial concepts and technologies (a plus).
Location: This role is based in Dublin, Ireland, with occasional in-person meetings in either our Dublin or Liverpool offices. Virtual collaboration is key to this role, and we welcome candidates from across Ireland, provided they can occasionally commute to Dublin. North-West UK (Liverpool) is the second preferred location, as it is where the rest of the team is based.
