Client: Our client, a leading Multinational Semiconductor EDA Software provider, requires a Senior C/C++ Validation Engineer for a role based in Cork City, Ireland.
Role: In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through the development of validation tools and by executing end-to-end validation processes. You will lead our kit integration activities and validation efforts into distributed or globally dispersed product teams, ensuring consistent quality across multiple locations and time zones.
Responsibilities: Develop validation strategies and automated validation frameworks. Identify and document defects. Collaborate closely with software development and product teams to drive improvements. Execute tests, analyze and document results. Perform quality assurance, risk assessment, and collaboration with different product teams. Ensure the compliance of a product in line with department specifications. Examine, learn, and augment new technologies as needed to help innovate approaches to protecting our technology. Develop and maintain C/C++ applications using data structures and algorithms that interact with REST APIs. Develop and maintain scripts in Shell, Perl, and Python to automate tasks and processes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing scripts. Collaborate with team members to identify areas for automation. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in C/C++ programming languages. Experience in scripting with Shell, Perl, and/or Python. Experience with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms. Good knowledge of OOP concepts, Data Structures, and algorithms. Working knowledge of REST API principles and integrations. Knowledge of validation principles, methodologies, and regulations. Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing concepts. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
