A Senior Commercial Manager is required in Dublin to oversee all commercial functions for large-scale construction projects, ensuring seamless project delivery from inception to completion.
This is an opportunity to work on €80m+ projects and take a leadership role in Public Works Contracts and PPP schemes.
Salary: €160,000 Package: - Private Healthcare Policy - Transport Allowance: €4,200 and mileage as incurred for business purposes - 23 days' annual leave per full year worked (increasing annually following the completion of two years' service to a max of 29 days) Responsibilities: - Ensure pre-construction project information is transferred to the project team - Support the initiation and setting up of projects - Advise on contractual matters and contractual approach with client - Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive revenue and growth, while minimising costs - Advise and report regularly to the Project Director and Project Board on contractual and commercial matters - Manage interfaces between Project Director, operations, legal and finance functions - Set financial targets, budgets and track and monitor using key performance indicators - Provide commercial input into procurement strategies and evaluations for construction - Perfect knowledge of the Project Agreements and Subcontract Contracts conditions - Provide support on commercial aspects of contract management to ensure seamless handover - Advise, write and support with project correspondence - Identify contractual grounds for entitlements and determine claim strategy - Prepare claims upstream and review and determine downstream - Ensure risk registers, change order/variation trackers are reviewed and updated monthly and included within monthly reports - Review notices and contractual correspondence - Ensure compliance of Contracts, Subcontracts, Collateral Warranties, Insurance, Bonds and scopes of works, T&C, and their negotiations Role Requirements: - Relevant industry experience; 12-15 years Main Contractor/Management Contractor CSA experience in a comparable position - Demonstrated experience in large scale projects = €80m taking them from inception to completion - Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or relevant business degree - Must be Chartered (RICS or SCSI) and experience working as Commercial Manager Role in Public Works Contracts and/or PPP schemes including Design and Build projects - Experience in leading a cross-functional multi-disciplinary team of professionals - Ability to spot opportunities to generate growth - Ability to bring project from inception to close - Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills - Commercial acumen and financial awareness - Effective and comfortable working in a team environment - Proven ability to form, lead and motivate commercial teams - Organised with attention to detail - Self-motivation & dynamism - Good negotiation, persuasion and influencing skills - Strong digitisation, BIM and data analytics skills Interested candidates: Please send your most up-to-date CV.
